Indian companies in liquidation
Type a company name. 2,278 Indian companies named in an IBBI public announcement of a liquidation or voluntary liquidation since January 2023.
Liquidator? The company's internal data may still be an asset — see the data of a company in liquidation. Or a dated record report.
What this is
Under India's Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, every liquidation starts with a public announcement, published by the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI). This site lists the companies named in a liquidation or voluntary liquidation announcement since January 2023 — companies that have stopped operating and whose assets a liquidator now controls — with the kind of liquidation and the date of the announcement.
Who uses it
- Creditors and suppliers — is this company in liquidation, and since when?
- Former employees and customers — what became of a company I dealt with?
- Liquidators — see the data of a company in liquidation.
- Still in an insolvency resolution process? — see Indian companies in a CIRP.
What it is not
Not the IBBI, not a tribunal, and not a certificate. The announcements carry no headcount and no accounts: being listed here says nothing about a company's size. A liquidation announced since 2023 may since have ended in a dissolution; check the IBBI or the company's NCLT case for today's position. Companies are identified by name only: the announcement list gives no corporate identification number.
